Frickley Athletic have confirmed that star goalkeeper Seb Malkowski will miss the rest of the season because of injury – but he won’t be left behind as the club are planning fundraising activities.
Malkowski has a grade 2 ACL tear, which means a 5-6 month recovery period – added to the fact he will be unable to work.
Spencer Fearn: said “This is a blow for us as a football club, but more importantly for Seb. He has a young family to support and will not be at work for the foreseeable future.
“I am aware the our fantastic fans are already planning some fundraising activities as are the club.
“Throughout Seb’s absence he will be receiving the best possible care from the team at Goose Lane who work with many top athletes. He is a big part of our football club and we will be doing everything possible to support him and get him ready to play again next season.”
Frickley have set up a CrowdFunding page for Malkowski.
