Joint manager Jason Dodsworth believes his and Simon Houghton’s new-look Nostell Miners Welfare squad is more-or-less complete after the signings of Josh Wright and Brad Kilburn.
Centre-back Kilburn arrives from Athersley Rec, while midfielder Wright, who was manager of Worsbrough Bridge until September, has been out of the game since leaving Ossett Albion recently.
“We’re delighted because they are two very experienced who have played at a higher level,” Dodsworth told Non League Yorkshire.
“Brad has excellent technical ability and Josh has been there and done it.
“I think things are looking good now and this might be it squad-wise.
“To say we have only taken charge of two matches, we have come a long way in a short space of time, but we had to act quickly.
“We’ve had a win and a draw and it is now about training well and gelling as a team and getting away from the relegation area.”
Houghton and Dodsworth have almost waved magic wands since arriving at the Crofton Community Centre.
The pair have produced a win over Retford United and a sterling draw with promotion-chasers Eccleshill United.
However, they have been hit by one postponement, with tomorrow’s home return clash with Eccleshill likely to be the second.
Dodsworth admits the stop-start situation is frustrating.
“From a momentum point, it is not good,” he added.
“After the draw last week, it is disappointing that we are looking at a postponement tomorrow.
“But the weather is one thing we can’t do anything about.”
