Ossett Albion striker Adam Priestley

Gibraltar International Adam Priestley won the Ossett derby for ambitious Albion, who now look on their way to safety.

Priestley’s free kick on the stroke of half-time secured a second consecutive victory for Andy Welch’s men. The strike was his first for Ossett since his high profile move from Farsley Celtic.

Almost 500 people turned out at Ingfield for the eagerly-anticipated clash.

Star goalkeeper Brett Souter made a crucial save at the death to ensure Albion held on.

The win moves up a place above Brighouse Town and nine points clear of basement side Goole AFC.
