Nostell Miners Welfare are revelling in delight as very experienced centre-back Rhys Meynell has agreed to join them from Worsbrough Bridge.
Nostell joint manager Jason Dodsworth confirmed the signing to Non League Yorkshire earlier today.
Meynell heavily bolsters Nostell’s defence for the final furlongs of the season – one that looks set to end on a high note for the Crofton Community Centre club. Nostell beat Selby Town on Friday night in spectacular style, underlining again their strengths.
Meynell, who was on the books of Barnsley as a youngster, has played in the National League for the likes of Guiseley and Harrogate Town. In recent years, he was a key part of the 2015/16 Shaw Lane AFC team.
His departure from Worsbrough leaves manager Lee Morris without an assistant. He had been with Worsbrough since the early stages of the season and he even had a stint as caretaker manager after the departure of Josh Wright.
Nostell are next in action on Saturday when they host Grimsby Borough.
