Gibraltar International Adam Priestley’s double fired Ossett Albion to a stunning 2-0 victory over league leaders Hyde United.
The result is also a crucial as it moves second-bottom Albion four points ahead of resurgent bottom-placed Goole AFC with four games-in-hand.
Priestley’s well-struck free kick from the edge of the penalty area in the opening quarter gave Albion something to hold onto.
Both teams had chances before Hyde’s Ross Daly, the former Farsley midfielder, was shown a second yellow card with 12 minutes to go.
Priestley then sealed the precious three points after getting in behind Hyde’s defence.
Frickley Athletic were leading 2-0 in their South clash at Spalding United when the game was abandoned after 82 minutes because of a serious injury to a home player.
Danny Burns and captain Gavin Allott got the goals for Frickley.
