Veteran Mick Jones has left AFC Mansfield and joined resurgent Nostell Miners Welfare, bolstering their injury and holiday-hit squad.
Jones, who has played for a handful of clubs during his career, including Athersley Rec, Garforth Town and Rossington Main, joins Nostell following their 2-0 win at AFC Emley.
Joint manager Simon Houghton told Non League Yorkshire: “Mick has a lot of enthusiasm and experience and its something we needed as it showed when we got old-manned by Grimsby.
“He’s great in the dressing room and he’s someone the younger lads will look up to.
“We’ve also had to do something as the squad is really stretched at the minute because of holiday’s injuries and suspensions. It is one thing after another. Everyone is having to play a part at the moment.”
Good signing all the very best Mick
