The scene at Stocksbridge Park Steels this morning
All but one of our Yorkshire Evo Stik clubs managed to take to the field on Easter Monday because of the atrocious wintry weather.
Only Shaw Lane AFC were able to play and they may have wished they hadn’t bothered as they were beaten 3-1 at Grantham Town. The Ducks had been on course for victory after Kieran Lugsden’s opener.
Elsewhere, it was either snow or rain that were the winners. Stocksbridge’s humdinger with Frickley Athletic was hit by snow, so was Ossett Town’s home clash with Brighouse Town.
Ossett Albion had their trip to Goole AFC postponed. The big Tadcaster Albion-Scarborough Athletic was also beaten by the elements.
Farsley Celtic’s Throstle Nest encounter with Whitby Town was called off when the match referee arrived.
