Chairman Ralph Pearse’s band of loyal volunteers at Selby Town must be simply fed-up after the heavy rain wiped out another fixture.
Selby’s home clash with FC Bolsover has fallen to the weather and it causes a bigger problem as Christian Fox’s team have simply run out of dates. To fit the Bolsover game in by April 28th, Selby and their opposition would definitely have to consecutive nights.
The play-offs is a long shot now as they would have win almost all of their nine remaining games, but actually getting them played seems to have turned into mission impossible.
The same goes for Liversedge and Hall Road Rangers, who are also the worst-affected clubs by the weather. They were meant to be facing each other tonight.
Apart from Hemsworth’s home clash with Worksop Town, every other fixture in the NCEL has been postponed.
Knaresborough Town’s potential title-winning trip to Dronfield Town is off, so is Hallam’s home clash with Rossington Main.
Handsworth Parramore’s game with Harrogate Railway has been postponed in the Premier Division.
