Worsbrough Bridge 2-2 Armthorpe Welfare
A late Josh Dodd penalty denied Worsbrough their first win since January and earned Armthorpe, who came back from 2-0 down, a point.
Worsbrough player-manager Lee Morris led from the front and scored from the penalty spot and before picking out Kieran Hirst for the second goal two minutes into the second half.
However, Welfare didn’t roll over and Mike Carmody’s side pulled a goal back on 65 minutes when Josh Bucknall applied the vital touch to knock the ball over the line from close range following a goal mouth scramble.
Luke Williams fired over from the penalty spot on 78 minutes and it looked like Welfare’s chances of getting something from the game may have been over, but Williams was again impeded inside the box and this time Dodd stepped up to convert the spot kick and earn Welfare a point.
There was still time for Armthorpe to go agonisingly close to taking all three points when Gareth Roberts headed against the bar in the 90th minute.
