The race for the second automatic promotion spot will go to the final day (Monday night), regardless of how Grimsby Borough get on against Shirebrook Town this afternoon.

Last season’s play-offs runners-up Grimsby are in the driving seat as a win over Shirebrook and another on Monday night over East Yorkshire Carnegie will clinch promotion for them.

However, dropped points in either of the matches would open the door to Eccleshill United and Yorkshire Amateur who face each other in Bradford on Monday. Depending on how Grimsby get on, this is a potential winner takes all contest.

The Ammers are currently second on goal-difference. Both sides go into the contest full of confidence after big wins this week. Ecccleshill put nine goals without reply past FC Bolsover, while Ash Flynn got four as Ammers cruised to a 6-1 victory over Carnegie.
