Ossett Town ended their story in spectacular style with a 7-2 victory over relegated Goole AFC.

In the last game before the merger with Ossett Albion to create Ossett United, Nicky Boshell scored four times for Lee Ashforth’s men.

It was also the perfect farewell for Ashforth, who will not be with the new club. He replaced Grant Black in the New Year and has done a sterling job to steady the ship.

Alongside a Terry Barwick own goal, Martin Pembleton and Corey Gregory were on the score-sheet. Declan Howe and Derry Robson struck for Goole.

Ossett Albion bowed out with a 2-0 victory at promoted Scarborough Athletic. Former Town striker James Walshaw and Jimmy Beadle got the goals for the Seadogs.
