Maltby Main have broken the record for the number of dogs at a Non League football match after 78 turned out for the clash with promoted Pontefract Collieries.
‘Dog day’ was part of a community event to raise money for Support Dogs charity, which supports people with autism, epilepsy and other disabilities, and also raise the profile of Maltby.
The previous record stood at 33.
