Grant Black, rated as one of the best young bosses in the Evo Stik during his stint in charge of Ossett Town, is back in football after taking the manager’s helm at Belper Town.
Black is joined in the Belper hot-seat by his old Ossett assistants Steve Ridley and Mick Norbury, who had a spell with the club during his illustrious playing career.
Black had a brilliant stint with Ossett. He saved them from relegation and turned them into play-off finalists within 18 months. He left Ingfield in January.
Black said: “From my perspective I’m excited and proud at becoming the new manager at Belper Town.
“We have had lots of opportunities since leaving our last post but various reasons, have not felt right.
“Belper however ticked all the boxes we were looking for in our next project we feel if we get it right on the pitch the club has massive potential to progress up the football pyramid.
“We were very successful on and off the field at our last club and we will be looking to do the same and more.
“Belper fans will be assured they will have a team that will be 110% committed to the football club and will give that commitment every time they wear the shirt.”
