Toolstation NCEL Premier Division
Serial promotion-winner Paul Marshall is likely to reach his 900th game in management next season as he has agreed to lead Pickering Town into the Evo Stik.
Marshall, one of Yorkshire’s finest Non League bosses of the past two decades, has taken charge of 885 games since his first managerial appointment in 1997.
That was at Harrogate Town. He moved onto manage Harrogate Railway, leading them to one promotion and the second round proper of the FA Cup.
Goole AFC was the next stop where the Premier Division title was won. A brief spell at Bridlington Town followed before his long and productive stint at Tadcaster Albion – which yielded a promotion, the NCEL President’s Cup and a trip to the FA Vase quarter-finals.
Marshall has been at the helm of Pickering since 2015 and because of their promotion to the Evo Stik it also gives their manager another crack at the league – having previously admitted in 2015 that he would another chance having not being given long at Goole after promotion.
