Predatory Non League striker Damian Reeves has left Shaw Lane AFC and linked up his mentor Lee Sinnott at Gainsborough Trinity.
Reeves has had a long association with legendary Farsley Celtic manager Sinnott going back to the early 2000s. Their paths first crossed at Leeds United when Reeves played in the academy and Sinnott was director of it.
Sinnott then signed Reeves at Farsley in 2005 and he went onto play a massive role in the Celts’ rise to the top flight of Non League Football. He scored the winner in the 2006 NPL play-off final battle with North Ferriby.
In 2007 he brought Farsley back from the dead in the Conference North play-off final against Hinckley (video below). The Celts were trailing 3-1 with 12 minutes to go. He scored a fantastic goal to leave a platform for Ryan Crossley to go onto equalise and then for Simeon Bambrook to score a last-minute winning penalty and the village club into the Conference.
Reeves and Sinnott were reunited at Altrincham where they enjoyed promotion to the Conference again, along with a FA Cup first round win over Barnsley. Reeves got the winning goal against his hometown club.
