Glasshoughton Welfare’s captain Braveheart – Gaz Hunter
Popular captain Gaz Hunter has committed himself to play for Glasshoughton Welfare next season.
Vastly-experienced midfielder Hunter, in his second spell with Welfare since returning in early 2017, was a crucial part of the side that surprised a lot by reaching the play-offs.
Although they lost to Grimsby Borough in the semi-finals, the season was a major success and by far the club’s best since the magical Craig Elliott era.
Glasshoughton return for pre-season training on June 21st and hopes of glory in 2019 will be high.
