Toolstation NCEL Division One
Play-offs can only be reintroduced once as the “perfect” model for the National League System has been created, the FA have confirmed.
There has been shock and anger across the NCEL at the loss of the play-offs, which have been a massive success since their introduction in 2016.
However, because the FA are heavily restructuring the pyramid, the Division One play-offs in the NCEL and North West Counties have become a short-term casualty for the greater good.
It could take until 2021 for the play-offs system to be reintroduced.
The FA want to reduce travelling for all clubs and in particular midweek matches in the next few years and have already created new Divisions will be created at Step three, four and six levels.
One more Division at Step Four and two more at Step Five are planned to be in place by 2021.
The restructuring will also create a fair and equal promotion and relegation system across the country – which in turn could see more than one club automatically promoted from the Premier Division.

the play off system in the NCEL surely has no bearing on increased travel for those succesful clubs in the NCEL Once again the FA have no idea of grass roots football and have almost ruined a very competitive Division One
By putting Skegness Town (welcome to the NCEL) in the League how is that reducing travel?
Once again NO IDEA
