“Winner” Calum Stapleton has become the latest player to join ambitious Nostell Miners Welfare.
Stapleton was a member of the now legendary Pontefract Collieries squad which won back-to-back promotions against the odds.
The move sees the versatile player be reunited with Welfare joint manager Simon Houghton, who previously managed him at Kinsley Boys.
“I’ve had him before and I know all about him” Houghton told Non League Yorkshire.
“He’s a winner and he adds more strength to the squad in a few areas.”
Stapleton is the fifth new player to join Nostell this summer behind Kai Hancock, Danny Critchlow, Adam Hayton and Gary Stevens.
? how many games did he play, hope he can get a game
