Glasshoughton goalkeeper Mat Zaniewski
Non League Yorkshire’s Division One goalkeeper of the year Mat Zaniewski is staying with Glasshoughton Welfare.
The gentle giant was rumoured to be heading to the Evo Stik after a brilliant season between the sticks for surprise package Glasshoughton.
Zaniewski, who joined from Shaw Lane AFC courtesy of Welfare’s legendary ex-manager Craig Elliot, was superb and a key reason why Welfare were able to sneak into the play-offs ahead of the likes of Christian Fox’s Selby Town and Hallam.
Glasshoughton have retained most of last season’s squad, but there are still some key figures yet to be confirmed as staying.
