Glasshoughton Welfare joint managers Darren Holmes and Lee Vigars
Matty Bowman, the youngest ever outfield player to play for Sheffield Wednesday, has signed for Glasshoughton Welfare.
Winger/striker Bowman signed after playing in Glasshoughton’s 4-0 pre-season victory over Goole AFC.
Bowman has previously played for Athersley Rec in the NCEL during their Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup winning season in 2014.
He has also enjoyed playing success on a Sunday morning with the likes of Kieran Scargill, Lee Bennett, Brett Renshaw, Joe Thornton and ex-Welfare favourite Mike Brearley.
