Armthorpe Welfare 1-2 Worsbrough Bridge

Rampant Worsbrough Bridge won for the first time in the FA Vase since 2014 as Lee Morris’ side continued their impressive start to the season.
Dave Mace was Worsbrough’s manager the last time they recorded a victory in the competition – a shock victory over Pontefract Collieries.
Two minutes into first half stoppage time, Worsbrough stole the march on Armthorpe, who wasted a sting of chances. A corner was helped on by former Welfare player Jack Waldron and red hot Jack Wilson stretched out a leg to divert the ball past Adam Stevens from six yards.
Worsbrough doubled their tally straight after the break, flying winger Fidel Mhlolo picked up the ball mid-way inside his own half and set off on a run which saw him evade Chris Simpkins before bursting between Roberts and Josh Bucknall to fire past Stevens from the edge of the box.
Armthorpe did get a bit of late hope as Jason Kearsley scored from close range, but that’s all it was.
