Jason Yates was the captain of Hemsworth during their 2015/16 title-winning campaign
Title-winning captain Jason Yates has returned to Hemsworth Miners Welfare after two years away.
Yates was the skipper of the Hemsworth side that cantered to the Division One championship in 2016. The midfielder was influential in a side that is rated as one of the club’s greatest ever.
After leaving in 2016, Yates has spent time with Ossett Town/United, Frickley Athletic, Handsworth Parramore and Shaw Lane.
Also returning to the Premier Division high-flyers is Sam Jones. The attacking midfielder is back after a few months away because of work commitments.
