Spencer Fearn has stood down as manager of Frickley after 18 memorable months in charge
Spencer Fearn has stood down as manager of Frickley Athletic due to taking up an academy coaching position at Sheffield Wednesday.
Fearn leaves Westfield Lane after 18 memorable months which have seen the club’s fortunes dramatically change. The former Maltby boss has also being involved behind the scenes as a director and has been a major driving force behind their community foundation.
On-the-pitch he has turned Frickley into a force to be reckoned with. Despite missing out on promotion last season, his side and players still broke numerous long-standing records.
Fearn’s exit was revealed following the 3-0 defeat to Ramsbottom United in the FA Trophy.
