Kieran Hirst’s dramatic late close range winner against his old club Parkgate handed Worsbrough Bridge straight league victories for the first time since September.
The solitary goal win keeps Worsbrough Bridge in sixth-placed and three points behind swash-buckling Selby Town in fifth place.
It was also only Andy Dawson’s second loss as Parkgate’s manager since taking over at the end of September.
Rossington Main were well-beaten by title favourites Grimsby Borough, whose star striker Daniel Trott scored a first half hat-trick to give them a 3-0 victory.
Despite taking a third minute lead through Liam Radford, Armthorpe Welfare were beaten 5-2 at Hallam.
Two goals each from Ben Thornton and Kieran Watson, plus Mitch Husbands’ goal sealed Hallam’s win. Luke Williams briefly reduced the deficit to 3-2 in the 42nd minute, but Hallam scored twice in the second half to finish Welfare off.
