Hancock lured back to Athersley

Kai Hancock has returned to Athersley Rec

Tenacious young striker Kai Hancock has returned to Athersley Rec after two seasons away.

The striker, who once had trials for Barnsley during his first spell with the Rec, has played for Grant Black at Ossett Town and Belper Town, as well as for Nostell Miners Welfare in the last two years.

Hancock is the first major signing of Graham Nicholas’ reign at the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division club.

Nicholas has moved quickly to secure multiple players old and new since taking over at his local club one month ago.

Experienced players Ryan White, Jack Briscoe and Lee Garside are staying, while young talent in goalkeeper Ross Pritchard and Jack Hague have signed.
