Stocksbridge Park Steels have been boosted by the news that the ‘Iceman’ Danny Frost is staying and midfielder Ross Goodwin has joined.
Frost, one of Barnsley’s most well known Non League strikers, helped Stocksbridge enjoy a positive end to last season.
And to have a consistent Evo Stik goal-scorer in their side bodes well for the new campaign.
Goodwin’s arrival from Worksop Town offsets the recent departures of several players, including the long-serving Ben Rhodes who headed to Worksop.
The Steels have also lost Tom Charlesworth to Penistone Church, Rory Coleman to Sheffield FC and Alex Wiles to Tadcaster Albion.
On another positive note, Luke Mangham has committed to staying at Bracken Moor this week.
