Pontefract Collieries have reacted in quite spectacular style to losing Tom Corner by signing lethal goal-scorer Joe Lumsden.
Corner agreed to sign for the Colls, but has since had a change of heart and says he is taking a year out of Non League football because of work commitments.
But instead of settling for second best, Craig Parry and Craig Rouse have pulled off the signing of a player equally as good in Lumsden.
Lumsden is certainly one of Yorkshire’s best Evo Stik forwards. He has enjoyed prolific stints with Stocksbridge Park Steels and Tadcaster Albion.
In the past three years, the Colls have shown they know where the net is and now they’ve added even more heavy artillery to an already well-stocked arms department.
