Eccleshill United pair Ben Grech-Brooksbank and Charlie Flaherty have moved to Thackley.
The pair are playing tonight in Thackley’s home friendly with National North new-boys Farsley Celtic.
Both players are very experienced West Yorkshire-based NCEL players and will add a lot of bite of Paddy McGuire’s side.
Brooksbank has enjoyed a successful return to Non League football after overcoming injury, which had curtailed his career with Ossett Albion in the NPL.
Midfielder Flaherty is best known for his stints with Albion Sports and Eccleshill. He was made captain of Eccleshill in February after the departure of Sam Bradley.
McGuire has kept a lot of the familiar faces from last season and beyond, including goalkeeper Luke Wilson, right-back Alex Marsh, James Rothel, Kris Hargreaves and stalwart Jerry White. The former Guiseley and Farsley hitman Adam Muller also remains at Dennyfield.
