Centre-back Sam Colbear is back at Goole AFC, hours before the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division season opener against Athersley Rec at the Victoria Pleasure Grounds.
Colbear has had many stints with Goole over the past six years, under various managers such as Wayne Benn, David Holdsworth, Curtis Woodhouse, Alan Semley, Lee Morris, Dave Anderson, Derry Robson/David Taylor and Karl Rose.
He spent last season playing for Belper Town under the highly-rated Grant Black.
Colbear rejoins Goole with Terry Barwick and Matty Bloor at the helm. Barwick and Bloor defied the odds to keep Goole up last season with a final day win in the winner takes all clash with Hall Road Rangers.
