Tadcaster Albion manager Curtis Woodhouse has landed striker Jonathan Margetts on the eve of the new BetVictor North West season.
The striker has plenty of experience having played for the likes of Gainsborough Trinity, Tranmere Rovers, Lincoln City, Boston United and Matlock Town.
He is available for the season opener with Trafford at the i2i Sports Stadium.
Woodhouse said: ”I’m delighted to get Jonno into the football club, a real coup for us. He comes with great pedigree and will be an influential player on and off the pitch.
“In the pre-season friendly against Curzon Ashton he looked really sharp and showed his quality with two well taken goals. That was without really knowing any of the lads and how we played, so I think once he gets up to speed he’s going to be a real asset.
“He’s had some very good offers on the table from clubs a lot higher up the pyramid than us so I think it’s a real testament to the football club that he wanted to play his football with us this season.”
