Adam Priestley predictively hammered home the winner for Garforth Town in the end-to-end East Leeds El-Clasico at title favourites Yorkshire Amateur.
Priestley. making his first competitive appearance for the Miners since his celebrated return, scored the only goal of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division encounter.
The tenth minute was the decisive moment. A free-flowing move saw left-back Danny Buttle’s cross headed out of the penalty area by Niall Heaton. Sam Barker leapt like a salmon to head it back in and Mark Simpson carefully controlled the ball before a producing an outstanding fancy flick to play the onrushing Priestley in.
