Pickering Town received a big boost this week as Messi signed for Denny Ingram’s men.
That is French defender Julien Messi who signed in time for the FA Cup local derby against Bridlington Town.
Not much is known about Messi, but he came on as a second half substitute as the Pikes picked up their first win of the season.
An own goal and two goals from Danny Earl earned Pickering their victory. Former Pickering man Joe Danby had given Brid an early lead.
