In-form Joe Kenny sparked scenes of jubilation after scoring the last gasp winner for Liversedge who knocked BetVictor outfit Droylsden out of the FA Cup.
The stunning triumph is their second victory in three years over higher league opposition in the competition and Jonathan Rimmington’s men will now face a first qualifying round tie in September.
Goalkeeper Josh Lill did his bit in the first half, making a few saves. But it wasn’t all Droylsden as Liversedge caused problems too.
Droylsden’s Domaine Rouse hit the crossbar straight after the interval, but as the second half wore, ‘Sedge were the most likeliest to score.
Droylsden goalkeeper Chris Thompson denied Emile Sinclair as the pressure built and eventually Kenny made himself the hero of Clayborn with a tap-in at the far post.
Handsworth had a day to forget after losing 6-0 at 1874 Northwich in their tricky away tie.
Garforth Town lost 4-0 at home to BetVictor side Colne.
