Craig Spink has resigned as Frickley Athletic after just a few months in charge at Westfield Lane.
Frickley are without a win after a difficult start to the BetVictor South East campaign and the former Harworth boss and Worksop Town coach Spink fell on his sword after the 2-1 home defeat to Ilkeston yesterday.
Spink said: “Thank you to everyone who made my return, although brief, a very enjoyable from Spencer (Fearn) to the media, to the fans, to all the volunteers.
Sporting director Spencer Fearn, who was the club’s manager for 18 months from May 2017 to November 2018, has become caretaker manager as the club search for a replacement for Spink.
Applications for the post are to be sent to ryan@frickleyathletic.co.uk . Deadline is Saturday 14th September 2019 at 5pm.
ive monitored the lad up who’s in the management team at Ammers, Ogilviee since he took over at Railway last season. did an unbelievable job there with resources he had and he would be a perfect fit for the mould Spencer is trying to do at Frickley. only young but super experience already and track record in my opinion & ive been informed his coaching is second to none. Frickley could do a lot worse
