Tom Greaves put four past Thornaby as Ossett United galavanted into the second qualifying round of the FA Cup with 6-0 replay victory.
The former Bradford (Park Avenue) striker got two in the first encounter on Saturday and Thornaby will glad to see the back of him.
It was actually Nick Guest who got Ossett to a flyer as his overhead kick placed Ossett in front.
A wonder goal from Greaves then doubled the lead. A thunderbolt of volley into the top corner gave Thornaby’s goalkeeper absolutely no chance.
Ossett ran riot in the second half. Greaves, Elliott Harrison increased the lead to 4-0 before Thornaby had a man sent off.
Guest was brought down for a Ossett penalty, but Greaves’ effort was saved.
However, he made up for it by scoring two late goals.
Curtis Woodhouse will not get to face Pontefract Collieries as Tadcaster Albion lost 4-2 at Ashton United.
Scarborough Athletic won 2-1 at Marske United.
