Former Glasshoughton Welfare star Tom Carr has joined Armthorpe Welfare, who have also re-signed key striker Luke Williams.
The pair are two good signings for Armthorpe who have enjoyed a positive start to the season under Mike Carmody.
Williams was Armthorpe’s top goal-scorer last season.
Carr, the ex-Championship Rugby League goal-kicker for Doncaster, Featherstone, York City Knights and Whitehaven, has had several spells with Glasshoughton.
His most memorable was in the 2017/18 season. He returned in October 2018 and he inspired a run of form which guided Glasshoughton to a surprise Toolstation NCEL Division One play-offs spot.
