Debutant Zak Walker came off the bench to rescue Worsbrough Bridge with both goals – the second being the last kick of the game – in the 2-2 draw with Retford FC.
Lee Morris’ side were staring down the barrel of a third consecutive Toolstation NCEL Division One defeat. Instead they did high-flying Nostell Miners Welfare and Christian Fox’s Selby Town a favour by taking a point off third-placed Retford.
A Shay Evans-Booth penalty after just 50 seconds and Adam Scott’s strike had seemingly put Retford on course for a simple victory.
But Worsbrough turned it around after the break. Walker, dual-registered with Chris Hilton’s Stocksbridge Park Steels, pulled one back on the hour.
The youngster then made himself the hero with the equaliser with the last kick of the clash.
