Frickley Athletic have bolstered their defence with the signing of Brad McGowan from National North side Boston United.
It is a positive signing by new manager Dave Frecklington whose side have yet to win a league game this season.
Frecklington said: “I’m really pleased to get Brad over the line this afternoon. As soon as I heard he was available I jumped at the chance.
“At 23 and overcoming a serious injury he’s the right age and has the hunger to get back up the pyramid.
“He’s an outstanding defender and having turned me down whilst I was at Gainsborough I finally managed to get him to buy into the project we’re putting in place here at Frickley. He’s available for tomorrow’s game at Market Drayton.”
