Frickley Athletic finally secured their first BetVictor South East victory of the season after winning 2-0 at Market Drayton Town.
Goals from captain Jacob Hazel and Jonothan Margetts won the three points for Frickley, whose new manager Dave Frecklington has made a really positive impact.
Frickley fully deserved their victory having created lots of chances, it just took until the second half to break the deadlock.
Hazel got it with a tap-in after Margetts’ effort was saved.
Margetts who recently signed for Frickley from Tadcaster, wrapped the win up in the last few minutes with a straightforward goal.
Chris Hilton’s Stocksbridge Park Steels won 3-1 at Newcastle Town.
Stocksbridge trailed at the break, but soon levelled through Scott Ruthven.
A Luke Mangham penalty put the Steels ahead and in the closing stages young Clark Greaves scored an outstanding solo goal.
