Alhassane Keita enjoyed a memorable Brighouse Town debut as it took him just 15 minutes to score during his new team’s 3-2 win over Pickering Town.
Keita, who has been scoring goals for fun for Albion Sports, netted calmly from 12 yards to fire Brighouse ahead in the BetVictor North West clash and on their way to creating a seemingly unassailable 3-0 half-time lead.
That’s because Reece Kendall’s bullet header made it two before Carl Stewart headed home from a cross from the left on the stroke of half-time.
The finish was probably more nervy than it should have been. Instead of kicking on and scoring more, Brighouse allowed Pickering back into it.
Lewis Rathbone pulled back one back on the hour mark and when Jackson Jowett struck in the 86th minute, Denny Ingram’s men suddenly had hope of an unlikely comeback.
