Hull City legend Dean Windass has been appointed as the new manager of Toolstation NCEL Division One bottom side East Hull.
Windass replaces Andrew Watts in his first appointment as an outright manager. He previously served as assistant manager to Colin Todd at Bradford City.
Watts is staying on at the club as Windass’ assistant.
He has a big task on his hands as Hull are pointless after losing all nine league games so far this season. However, after battering early doors, score-lines have been much tighter in recent weeks.
Windass is no stranger to the NCEL having started his career with North Ferriby in the league before in his twilight years turning out for Barton Town and Scarborough Athletic.
