Under-rated Jack Wilson has left Worsbrough Bridge after two years and joined promotion-chasing Nostell Miners Welfare.
Jason Dodsworth and Simon Houghton have always had an eye for spotting talented players so it is hardly a surprise they have moved for the intelligent Wilson, who can play in defence or midfield.
Houghton told Non League Yorkshire: “Jack’s a player we have been looking at for over 18 months.
“He’s been a fantastic player for Worsbrough and he’s a great signing.”
The youngster has been one of Worsbrough’s star men over the past two seasons so his exit is a massive blow. He was a vital artery of Worsbrough’s side as they finished seventh in Toolstation NCEL Division One last season.
He could make his Nostell debut at Dronfield Town this weekend.
