Andy Ring rolled back the years with an impressive hat-trick as Penistone Church went top of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division with their 5-1 demolition of Eccleshill United.
Penistone raced into a 2-0 half-time lead as Ring’s shot and Jordan Coduri put them in that position.
Ring was the beneficiary of a fine move in the build-up to the third goal.
Nicky Boshell’s header pulled a goal back, but Penistone weren’t to be denied.
Coduri struck after another great move for number four before Ring converted a cross to complete his hat-trick.

Brad Morton’s goal was a mere consolation as Matlby Main were beaten 4-1 by Grimsby Borough.
