Brett Lovell has been crowned Non League Yorkshire’s September player of the month, a day after being man of the match in Penistone Church’s 1-1 draw with Hemsworth Miners Welfare.
Lovell was outstanding in the end-to-end clash with their promotion rivals.
It could have either way in a match that saw Hemsworth take a first half lead through Nash Connolly’s 25th minute header.
Nathan Keightley was Penistone’s hero with an outstanding goal on the hour to level the game.
