Harrogate Railway manager Des Macorison remains upbeat about his side’s prospects after watching them lose 2-1 to Hallam.
Despite taking the lead through powerful striker Toby Harris, Railway were beaten by goals from Micah Bishop and Reece Treasure.
The defeat was their fourth successive loss in Toolstation NCEL Division One, but Macorison has full confidence that his players can end the slump.
“We’re not far off to be honest,” Macorison told Non League Yorkshire.
“On Saturday, Hallam did have three great chances in the first half which were stopped by great saves, we were the better footballing side.
“We felt comfortable, but then two goals came from us switching off. We keep switching off and that is something we need to cut out.
“We have got plans to bring a couple of experienced players in and I know we’re not a million miles off. It is just frustrating.
“We are our own worst enemy. We have got it, we just need to believe in ourselves.
“We’ve been dominating games, but when we get into the final third we tend to rush it and we’re getting caught out on the counter. Direct balls have been killing us.
“We have been working on that to try and protect ourselves on transitions.
“I’m not too concerned, we just have to be patient. Once as that win comes, I believe we’ll go on a run.”
