Alhassane Keita scored twice and goalkeeper Jordan Porter saved a penalty as Brighouse Town won 2-1 at Tadcaster Albion in the FA Trophy.
After a goal-less first half, the game sprang into life six minutes after the break. Kevin Santos was brought down and Jake Day’s penalty was saved by Porter.
Just a few minutes later, Brighouse were ahead. Keita found a bit of space on the edge of the penalty area and he curled the ball home past Michael Ingham.
Brighouse pressed further ahead when they were awarded a penalty after Ousman Cham was hauled down. Keita stepped up and buried the spot kick.
Tadcaster were given hope of extra-time after Jack Walters scored from Will Annan’s corner. However, it was too little too late for Tadcaster.
Brighouse will play Workington in the next round.
