Former Nostell Miners Welfare manager Des Hazel is Bradford (Park Avenue)’s new academy head coach.
Hazel has taken on the task of leading the project which caters for 16-to-18-year-olds. The post was previously held by Alex Meechan.
The former Rotherham United and Chesterfield defender is a very experienced academy coach having also managed FC Halifax Town’s youth team.
His only senior team role was at Nostell where he did an admirable job before Jason Dodsworth and Simon Houghton came in to take the club to a different level.
