Worsbrough Bridge survived a scare in the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup after surrendering a 4-1 lead against minnows Dodworth before winning on penalties.
Ash Emmett (2), Kieran Hirst and Rob Oldham had placed Worsbrough in total control after just 48 minutes.
But the Kevin Keegan style football was back at Bridge as Dodworth fought back through Sam Severn, Craig Allen and former Worsbrough star Mitch Wilshire. Allen scored the equaliser in the last minute.
Fortunately Worsbrough’s skid on the banana skin was not deadly as Lee Morris’ men won 4-3 in the shootout.
