Nostell Miners Welfare were back to their best after beating promotion rivals Parkgate 5-1 at Crofton Community Centre.
After four consecutive defeats, three in Toolstation NCEL Division One and one in the FA Vase, the response could not have been stronger as Nostell were incredibly 4-0 up at half-time.
Calum Ward, Kane Reece, Jack Cowgill and Richard Collier all scored during the rampant first half display.
Tim Whittaker pulled one back for Parkgate midway through the second half before talismanic captain Rhys Meynell scored a late penalty for Nostell.
