Former Worsbrough Bridge and Penistone Church attacker Ryan Smith is the new first team coach at Nostell Miners Welfare.
Smith, who will be one of the youngest coaches in the Toolstation NCEL, will work under Jason Dodsworth and Simon Houghton.
Smith is no stranger to the dugout due to his work with Worsbrough Bridge’s under 21s.
“He enjoys the coaching side of it and he has been doing a good job at Worsbrough,” Dodsworth told Non League Yorkshire.
“He contacted us and we had a good meeting with him the other night and a good chat.
“He knows what we want and he’s happy to come in and do it. It takes pressure off me and Simon in certain areas.”
It is anticipated that Smith will sign a playing registration form, just in case he needed for action.
In the last two years, he has been featuring for Wombwell Town in the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior League under former Frickley Athletic and Goole AFC manager Karl Rose.
